Contemporary German painted and gilt tooled vellum over paste boards, richly colored in green, red, tan and blue, both sides painted with 5 miniature landscapes, spine in 8 compartments, gilt lettered in one, edges alternately marbled or gilt and gauffered. Provenance: Coat-of-arms with the initials IIHD (bookplate on front paste down); Ashburnham sale, Sotheby's London 25 June 1897.
