Ostell and Chapple, 1803-1804. 2 volumes, 4°, engraved frontispiece and additional engraved title in each volume, 24 plates by J. Scott after Reinagle, wood-engraved vignettes (frontispieces and engraved titles spotted, most plates in vol. II spotted and browned, light browning to text), contemporary diced calf gilt (joints of vol. I broken but cords holding, joints of vol. II slightly splitting, some rubbing). Provenance: Court Library Shadwell (bookplate) -- Earl of Cromer (bookplate). The plates after Reinagle show twenty-four breeds of dog. Nissen ZBI 4074; Schwerdt II, p. 248.
