(Occasional minor marginal spotting and soiling, small chip in outer margin of title and dedication.) Contemporary sheep-backed blue marbled boards (spine worn at head, extremities rubbed). Provenance: Emily Mercer, Marchioness of Lansdowne (1819-1895; armorial bookplate and her earlier bookplate as Countess of Shelburne).
