Woven in silks and wools, depicting 'The Triumph of Bacchus' from 'The Triumphs of the Gods', with Bacchus and Ariadne on a chariot drawn by leopards and attended by satyrs, musicians and putti, within a wooded landscape, with formal gardens and a palace beyond, the fruiting foliate border decorated with birds, reduced in height along top and bottom of field with the tapestry folded under by about 5 in. (13 cm.) along top edge of field
8 ft. 5 in. x 12 ft. 7 in. (257 cm. x 384 cm.)
