A George III silver coffee-urn
Mark of Emick Romer, London, 1762, and with Madrid marks on re-sale for 1851
Pear-shaped, on three foliate scroll feet with rocaille terminals, the body chased with foliage, scrolls, scalework and floral garlands, the hinged domed cover similarly chased and applied with a cast floral spray finial, the lower body with three spouts each with grotesque mask terminal and carved ivory scroll finial, the two scroll handles each with turned ivory baluster centre, the body engraved with a sailing ship within a scroll cartouche, marked on base and cover, the Madrid marks stamped below rim
