With heavy rebrowned octagonal twist sighted barrel cut with nine grooves, and with ladder back-sight, recessed patent breech with two gold lines and gold-lined maker's stamp, platinum-lined vent, engraved tang, signed engraved detented lock with safety-catch, roller, ramped steel-spring, rainproof pan, steel with maker's address, and later cock, figured walnut half-stock (minor defects), raised cheek-piece, chequered grip, engraved iron mounts (worn) including scrolled trigger-guard (cushion removed), silver fore-end cap and barrel-bolt escutcheons, and original brass-mounted wooden ramrod, London proof marks, barrelsmith's mark of William Fullerd
