A Cased 12-Bore D.B. Percussion Shotgun

With sighted twist barrels signed on the rib, patent breeches engraved with a black cock, platinum plugs, scroll engraved tang, signed locks finely engraved with scrolls and game birds, figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip and fore-end, iron mounts finely engraved with scrolls and with spaniels on the butt-cap tang and the trigger-guard bow, the trigger-plate with pineapple finial, silver escutcheon, and original brass-mounted ramrod: in original lined and fitted brass-bound oak case (lid cracked, corner compartment missing), with accessories including white metal Sykes flask, and trade label for circa 1848-1855, complete with leather outer cover (worn and incomplete), London proof marks
