A Charles II longcase clock movement and dial, circa 1685, with later case
The 10in. square dial with line engraved border signed along the lower edge Edmund Lamb Lincons Inn Londini, with winged cherub mask spandrels to a narrow Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, ringed winding holes, later hands, the movement with tall plates and five ringed pillars, with outside countwheel strike on bell; with later carved oak case -- 84½in. (214cm.) high
