A Charles II unascribed West Country decorated trefid spoon,
with a rudimentary "V" rat-tail, the stem of tapering form with a motched terminal and central tongue, pricked on the back "M.L. I.D. 1675" and acratch engraved on the front with a stylised stiff leaf drop with "hatched" decoration and visible "guide lines" doen the sides of the stem, maker's mark struck once in the bowl and thrice on the back ofthe stem (R.L. in a shaped shield with mullets distorted/mis-struck)* probably Barnstaple region, circa 1675 - 19.25cm long, 1.75oz.
