The fluted drum case surmounted by an open volume of music and flanked by a standing amorino with lyre, a scroll to one side inscribed with the names of musicians, on stepped and waisted base inset with porcelain panels (one cracked), with blue grounds decorated en grisaille with musical trophies, on toupie feet, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes and pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell, stamped on the backplate for OPPENHEIM A PARIS -- 15in.
