A George III mahogany and brass-mounted striking bracket clock, circa 1775
The case with brass handle to a bell top and pineapple finials to the corners, arched brass fishscale sound frets to the sides, the chamfered front angles applied with later caryatid mounts, brass-lined front door, on stepped and moulded base raised on brass bracket feet, the brass dial with foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with crossed minute ring, the silvered centre with circular date aperture and signed Chris Bullock London, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with verge escapment and strike on bell, with pendulum holdfast to the back plate -- 20½in. (52cm.) high to hilt of handle
