A GERMAN TWO-HAND SWORD with broad slightly tapering blade of flattened hexagonal section with wide central fuller on each face of the forte, one face incised with a running wolf mark, long ricasso struck on each face with a 'twig' mark and flanked by narrow fullers, the iron hilt comprising long straight quillons of circular section with bulbous tips, flanked by large oval side-rings with bulbous centre, large associated globular pommel, and velvet-covered (velvet worn) wire-bound wooden grip, first half of the 16th Century
