CENTRAL IRAN, 12TH CENTURY
On short rounded foot rising to wide bulbous body and cylindrical neck, with small round handle and flat thumb knop, painted in black and cobalt-blue on white ground, the body with a band of calligraphy in naskh and also a register of vine, further band of naskh around neck, blue painted rim, intact with heavy surface layer of iridescence, in fitted box
