A LARGE TWO-COLOUR LACQUER CIRCULAR BOX AND COVER
The cover is carved to the central roundel with a scene of scholars in a pavilion, surrounded by a mountainous landscape, pine and wutong trees. The side of the box and cover are decorated with a band of four figural cartouches alternating with stylised lotus blooms. The base and interior are lacquered black.
11 3/8 in. (28.8 cm.) diam.
