A PAIR OF MODEL FIELD GUNS
Dated 1647, probably Dutch
Each with multi-staged tapering bronze barrel (minor bruising) cast in relief with bands of foliage and with dolphin lifting handles and a pronounced moulding at the muzzle, the chase with a vacant armorial shield with a heraldic helm above and the date beneath, the cascabel buttons each in the form of a pomegranate: on oak carriages with iron and brass mounts (some parts missing, minor worm-holes) with cambered spoked wheels, the trails (one cracked) each with old painted inventory number 'No 12'
