A Queen Anne walnut longcase clock, circa 1710
The stepped top hood with blind fret cornice panel and inset brass-capped columns, glazed side panels, the rectangular trunk door with moulded frame and brass-lined lenticle, on stepped plinth, the 12in. square brass dial with later cherub and coronet spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed James Blundell London Fecit, with fleur-de-lys half hour and dot half quarter hour markers, matted centre with engraving around the date aperture, subsidiary silvered seconds ring and ringed winding holes, later hands, the five ringed pillar with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; later seatboard, movement and dial possibly associated to case, the case with restorations -- 85in. (216cm.) high
