A Regency ebonised and brass inlaid quarter-chiming bracket clock, circa 1820
The lancet-shaped case with gilt-brass acorn finials and chamfered front angles, with loop handles above silk-backed tracery arch sound frets, raised on large ball feet, the white painted dial with Roman chapter ring, signed in the centre Will.m Cozens Finsbury Place LONDON (rubbed), with later pierced brass hands, subsidiary slow/fast and strike/silent rings in the arch, the triple wire fusee movement with anchor escapement, hour strike on bell and quarter chimes on six nested bells, with pendulum holdfast to the back plate with engraved border and repeat signature -- 21in. (53cm.) high
