A Restauration ormolu-mounted mahogany striking portico clock, first quarter 19th century
The case with stepped top supported on four columns with engine-turned capitals, on stepped and moulded base (section lacking to rear), the white enamel Roman chapter ring (cracks and chips) with plain gilt centre with white enamel seconds disc, the twin barrel movement with knife edge suspension to gridiron pendulum and countwheel strike on bell -- 19in. (49cm.) high; and a French brass striking carriage clock, last quarter 19th century, the corniche case with white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes, twin barrel movement with replaced platform, strike on gong to backplate with stamp for Richard and number 390 -- 5in. (14cm.) high
