    Second quarter of the 18th Century
    With tapering flattened blade (edges nicked), large iron guard of bars of rectangular section involving fretted panels pierced with triangles and circles and involving an oval aperture for the reins, scrolled wrist-guard, fluted bun-shaped pommel, wire-bound shagreen-covered grip, and remains of leather liner, in iron-mounted leather-covered scabbard (iron parts with surface pitting, scabbard defective)
