A SMALL CARVED DING ‘LOTUS’ DISH
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)
The dish is potted with a bevelled foot and flaring sides and is freely carved to the interior with a single lotus spray with combed details. It is covered overall with a warm ivory glaze with the exception of the unglazed mouth rim exposing the white biscuit body.
