Lazarnick records a figure, signed with these characters, of a standing Buddhist figure with a bell. On a smaller scale than earlier Kyoto and Osaka Shoki figurines, this netsuke shows some of the hallmarks of the early Edo style, including himotoshi holes placed side by side (rather than with the larger hole below the smaller), one of them concealed in a fold of the robes.
