Arrival

Apollinarii Mikhailovich Vasnetsov was born in 1856 in the Viatka region. He worked in Moscow and St. Petersburg and studied with his brother, the famous Victor Vasnetsov as well as with Il'ya Repin and Vasilii Polienov. In 1898-99 he traveled in France, Italy and Germany, but he is most well-known for his paintings of Old Moscow.
