A 4-inch (10cm.) diameter terrestrial miniature globe, made up of twelve hand coloured engraved gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees, the ecliptic line graduated in degrees and showing the symbols of the houses of the zodiac, the MERIDIANUS PRIMUS graduated in degrees, running through Iceland and Ferro, all three coloured in red, Europe coloured pink and outlined in red, the continents coloured in outline, the oceans showing Captain Cook's voyages, and within the Antarctic Circle a partial coastline labelled K. Victoria L 1841 (some cracking and loss of plaster), brass axis pins, contained in a cylindrical cardboard case, the cover applied with hand coloured engraved print depicting two sailors and a dog considering a globe, with a decorative border, signed C.B., the side applied with embossed green paper (some wear to case) -- case 4½in. (11.4cm.) high
