The Chinese porcelain 18th century, the plate circa 1911, puce printed lion and crown mark, impressed DOULTON 10-11, retailer's mark for Tiffany & Co., New York, the bowl with green printed Nymphenburg and shield mark, impressed shield mark, black painter's mark
One saucer made for the middle eastern market, painted with alternate concentric bands of gilt Arabic script and puce lozenges, 7 7/8in. (20cm.) diam.; the second in imitation of a Worcester gros blue dish of circa 1770, the center with a crest and shield above the initials AMJE, 6 1/8in. (15.6cm.) diam.; the plate gilt with an elaborate rosette, the wide border heavily gilt with foliate scrolls, gilt gadrooned rim, 10¼in. (26cm.) diam. (3)
