The seated earth spirits both modelled with wings radiating from the shoulders, with humanoid faces, one painted with a beard, bulbous eyes and a twisted central horn set between the bat-like ears, with remains of white slip, shades of red, green and black pigment, some restorations

These fearsome and intimidating guardians were buried in four corners of the tomb to protect the deceased and his treasures. Modelled with ferocious humanoid and leonine faces, agressive expressions and muscular bodies, they show the fertile imagination of the potter.
