A WHITE PORCELAIN INKSTONE
choson period (16th century)
The thick inkstone of rectangular shape carved with a deep demilune basin next to a shallow, rounded-rectangular well, covered by a thin and very glossy transparent glaze which is tinged blue especially in the basin and at the edges of the shallow well, the flat base covered by a thin application of the clear glaze
4¾ x 2 1/8 x 7/8in. (12.2 x 5.3 x 2.1cm.)
