The ebonised turned shaft surmounted by a Corinthian column, with palmette-decorated pedestal and a plinth base, with two paper labels attached to the base, one inscribed in ink '... in Rome', fitted for electricity; with a crimson silk-lined shade with green and crimson braid and bullion fringe, possibly Italian
