An early 20th-Century German walnut homoepathic domestic medicine chest,
manufactured by Zahn-Apotheke -- Dr. W. Schwabe's homöopath. Central-Halle, Leipzig, the velvet-lined lid with applied contents list for the medicines provided, the chest fitted to house thirty-two brown bottles with silver paper caps and paper number and content labels (for cross-reference with the contents list) and a boxed glass 'dripping-counter', the case with inlaid decorative cartouche to the centre of lid and edge, white metal diamond escutcheon and key -- 10.5 x 24.2 x 13.8cm. (4 1/8 x 9½ x 5 3/8in.)
