QIANLONG SEAL MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each well potted, the interior medallion painted with bamboo sprays growing out of crevices of angular rocks between flowering prunus and a gnarled pine tree beside a lingzhi emerging from grasses, all within a double line border repeated on the everted rim, the exterior decorated with a lady seated on a terrace observing two boys at play in a garden beneath willow trees

The design on this dish is inspired by Ming prototypes, such as the Chenghua dish in The National Palace Museum, Taipei, illustrated in Special Exhibition of Ch'eng-hua Porcelain, Taipei, 1976, no. 15.
