TWO FULDA WHITE AND GILT PORTRAIT COFFEE-CUPS AND SAUCERS
CIRCA 1780, BLUE CROWNED FF MARKS, IMPRESSED X AND RI MARKS, ONE SAUCER WITH IMPRESSED K MARK
Each with an arched angular handle, the bodies applied with low-relief white biscuit busts, the first with a bearded philosopher in profile to the right, wearing a plumed hat, fur edged coat and a crucifix, the second with a philosopher in profile to the left, each within circular raised beaded cartouches and gilt bands enclosed by laurel garlands, below a band of overlapping cell-pattern, with scattered gilt sprigs, within gilt line rims (very slight wear to gilding) (2)
