ATTRIBUTED TO CHARLES CRESSENT, CIRCA 1725
The moulded serpentine Campan marble top, above three short and one long drawer mounted with pounced pierced borders, floral backplates and foliate scrolling handles, the central upper short drawer mounted with a Bacchus mask, the long drawer centred by an elaborately cast escutcheon flanked by dragons, above an apron centred by a mask flanked by foliate scrolls, the angles headed by Espagnolette figures, the sides inlaid with a lozenge containing a central mount decorated with trellis motif and cornucopiae, the back uprights mounted with a further foliate mount, on cabriole legs terminating in paw feet, most of the ormolu mounts stamped with 'C' couronné poinçon
