Pensée dans son format en ligne, cette vente propose un large panorama d’œuvres illustrant l’ADN, la diversité et la vitalité de l’art d’après-guerre, de la fin du XXe siècle jusqu’à l’art contemporain du XXIe.

Elle réunit la scène artistique internationale à travers des artistes majeurs tels que Gerhard Richter, Cy Twombly, Alexander Calder ou Jesús Rafael Soto, aux côtés de la sphère française représentée par Jean Fautrier, Olivier Debré, Pierre Alechinsky ou encore Bernard Frize. Elle accorde également une place toute particulière aux femmes artistes, dont Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Alicja Kwade, Tatiana Trouvé et Marlene Dumas.

Une section dédiée « Thinking Italian » met à l’honneur des artistes tels que Alighiero Boetti, Mario Schifano ou Jannis Kounellis, qui ont profondément renouvelé les formes et les langages de l’avant-garde italienne.

La photographie occupe enfin une place essentielle au sein de la sélection, notamment à travers une série de trente images de Nan Goldin, réalisées sur trois décennies. Cet ensemble déploie un récit intime et sans concession, où se croisent vies privées, mémoire et évolutions du monde contemporain.

Ensemble, ces lots font dialoguer les générations artistiques, les sensibilités et les pratiques, offrant une lecture transversale de la création contemporaine.

Les enchères se dérouleront du 22 mai au 3 juin. Les œuvres seront présentées lors d’une exposition ouverte au public du 30 mai au 3 juin chez Christie’s à Paris, offrant aux collectionneurs une occasion privilégiée de découvrir chaque lot.

Thought for its online format, this sale presents a broad panorama of works highlighting the DNA, diversity and vitality of post-war art, from the late 20th century to 21st-century contemporary creation.

It brings together the international art scene through major artists such as Gerhard Richter, Cy Twombly, Alexander Calder and Jesús Rafael Soto, alongside the French sphere represented by Jean Fautrier, Olivier Debré, Pierre Alechinsky and Bernard Frize. It also places particular emphasis on women artists, including Alicja Kwade, Tatiana Trouvé, Marlene Dumas and Maria Helena Vieira da Silva.

A dedicated “Thinking Italian” section highlights artists such as Alighiero Boetti, Mario Schifano and Jannis Kounellis, who profoundly reshaped the forms and idioms of the Italian avant-garde.

Photography finally holds a central place within the selection, mostly through a series of thirty images by Nan Goldin, spanning three decades. This group unfolds an intimate and unfiltered narrative, where private lives, memory and the transformations of the contemporary world intersect.

Together, these lots bring artistic generations, sensibilities and practices into dialogue, offering a cross-sectional reading of contemporary creation.

The auction will run from 22 May to 3 June. The works will be presented in a public exhibition from 30 May to 3 June at Christie’s in Paris, offering collectors a great opportunity to view each lot.
