Christie’s unveils our September 2025 Los Angeles wine auction, a 500+ lot voyage through the world’s most coveted cellars, curated for collectors who embrace both pedigree and provenance. Headlining the auction are two exceptional winery-direct offerings donated to benefit Napa Green: an unprecedented 40-vintage vertical of Spottswoode’s legendary Cabernet Sauvignon (extending from the inaugural 1982 vintage to 2021) and a 19-magnum vertical of Opus One (2001–2019) — each shipped directly from the estates’ libraries and offered here with 100% of hammer proceeds supporting Napa Valley’s leading sustainability and climate action organisation. Napa Green administers the first vineyard and winery certification programme to centre regenerative farming, responsible carbon management and social equity, setting the highest bar for sustainability in American viticulture. Visit NapaGreen.org to learn more.

European icons from preeminent vintages share the spotlight, including an extraordinary six-magnum parcel of Château Lafite Rothschild 1982 in original wood case; full cases of Château Haut-Brion 1989, Petrus 1993 (in both bottle and magnum formats in wood) and Château Lafite Rothschild 1986; a six-bottle original wood case of Le Pin 1997; and a monumental series of first-growth Bordeaux cases from the illustrious 2015, 2016 and 2018 vintages — all impeccably stored since release. Champagne aficionados will take note of pristine magnums of 1976 and 1978 Dom Pérignon, while collectors of Italian wines will vie for magnums of Solaia 2006 and 1996, cases of Bruno Giacosa’s 2000 and 1997 Falletto and Le Rocche del Falletto, and fantastic vintages of Ornellaia and of Gaja’s iconic Barbaresco. Additional highlights include Vega-Sicilia’s Único 1995, Screaming Eagle’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Armand Rousseau’s Clos de Bèze 1990, a double-magnum (3L) of the 100-point Château Margaux 2016 and dueling 10-bottle lots of Château Margaux 1990 and Petrus 1996.

Whether you are building a legacy cellar or seeking singular vinous experiences, the September 2025 edition of our Los Angeles wine auction series promises masterpieces seldom seen at auction — now with the added opportunity to champion sustainable viticulture in Napa Valley and beyond.

Bidding opens Thursday, 4 September and closes Thursday, 18 September. We look forward to raising a glass with you.
