From elegant portraits to sweeping landscapes the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours sale offers a range of subjects from various schools with estimates from £600.  British masters are particularly well represented with works by Gainsborough, Turner and Girtin. Further highlights include Benjamin Haydon’s arresting study of Satan and a lively sketch of Miss Golly Wilson by Tissot. A number of the works come from private collections including that of Sir Francis Watson, former Director of the Wallace Collection and Surveyor of the Queen's Pictures.
