Highlights include standout examples such as a matched pair of late Louis XV ormolu-mounted red and gilt-japanned cabinets and a North Italian painted and parcel-gilt commode.

With fabrics generously provided by Le Manach to bring the exhibition deeper into the imagination, the standout viewing will open 11 October at Christie’s New York.
