The Exceptional Sale headlines our Classic Week auction series in Paris. This year’s sale features remarkable examples of Boulle furniture, including a pair of stands, a tambour commode, a pair of pedestals and two Louis XIV desks. This edition also includes objects of distinguished provenances from the 18th century, including Madame de Pompadour’s fire screen for the Hôtel d’Évreux and a marquise chair for Madame Élisabeth in Montreuil.

For the 19th century, we are pleased to present a selection from the Emmanuel de Las Cases family collection, with two Sèvres dessert plates from the Emperor’s dinner service, as well as the plan of the Battle of Rivoli, an extraordinary Napoleonic relic.

Finally, from the storied Stroganoff collection, we are presenting a pair of late Louis XV ormulu-mounted ebony console tables signed by René Dubois, a stunning example of the modernity in18th-century design.
