Launched in 2018, 1-54 Marrakech returns from 5–8 February 2026 as a key meeting point for contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. Taking place at La Mamounia, the fair opens with a VIP & Press Preview on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 February, followed by public days on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February.

Bringing together over 20 galleries from 12 countries, including a strong roster of Moroccan exhibitors, the 2026 edition offers a unique opportunity to engage with the diversity, innovation, and dialogue shaping contemporary artistic practices across the continent.

The fair convenes galleries, artists, collectors, and cultural practitioners from around the world, fostering exchanges that reflect Marrakech’s position at the crossroads of African, Arab, and global cultures.

With its 2026 edition, 1-54 reaffirms its role as a platform for diverse perspectives and evolving narratives within and beyond the continent. The fair’s name references the fifty-four countries that constitute Africa, highlighting its commitment to championing artistic voices from across this vast and multifaceted region.

With three editions per year, in London, New York and Marrakech, and pop-ups in Paris and Hong Kong, the name of the fair, 1-54, draws reference to the fifty-four countries that constitute the African continent.
