A spectacular celebration of modern and contemporary art, the Evening Sale in Paris brings together works distinguished by exceptional provenance and international significance. Leading the sale is Claude Lalanne’s monumental Pomme de New York, a 2.5‑metre‑high icon, alongside Maurice de Vlaminck’s La Femme au chapeau, a museum‑quality Fauvist landmark from the Ambroise Vollard collection.
This season places a strong spotlight on women artists, featuring Berthe Morisot, Anna-Eva Bergman, Germaine Richier and Olga de Amaral. Further enriching the season, the Thinking Italian section presents two seminal canvases by Mario Schifano, an emblematic work from Jannis Kounellis’s celebrated Alfabeti series, and two rare works by Lucio Fontana from the sought‑after gessi and barocchi cycles.
