This October, Christie’s Dubai’s auction of Modern and Contemporary art will feature important and exclusive works by the leading artists of the region including the Lebanese Masters Paul Guiragossian, Elie Kanaan and Aref El-Rayess, the acclaimed Egyptian pioneers Mahmoud Saïd and Omar El-Nagdi, the Palestinian Ismail Shammout and Asim Abu Shaqra, the Iraqi artist Dia Al-Azzawi, the Moroccan master Mohammed Melehi and Iranian most sought-after Modern artists Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi, Manoucher Yektai and Sohrab Sepehri. Alongside highlights of the region’s celebrated Modern art, Christie’s Dubai will present outstanding masterpieces by contemporary artists Ayman Baalbaki, Monir Farmanfarmaian, Lalla Essaydi, Farhad Moshiri and Ahmed Alsoudani to name a few. With works coming from important Private Collections and Artists’ Estates from around the world, this season’s auction in Dubai will shed light on the high level of quality and rarity that is to be found in the region’s art history.
