The auction is led by a selection of high quality pieces coming mainly from old European collections with great provenance. On the occasion of this sale, Christie’s will present several fine Chinese works of art and sculptures such as a marble head of Buddha Shakyamuni from the Sui Dynasty (581-618) formerly in the collection of Robert Faure (1904-1971). The catalogue also includes a fine selection of Japanese, Indian, South East Asian sculptures and works of art.
