拍賣簡介
On 11 December, Christie’s will offer at auction a group of 382 works of art from China, India, Japan and South East Asia. This sale offers a selection of pieces with unrivalled provenance: remaining for many decades in private French or European collections, they have never been seen at public auction before. A highlight of the sale is a rare Famille rose porcelain figure of Amitayus from the Qianlong period (1736–1795). Among other highlights are some Imperial porcelains from the 18th and the 19th centuries. The catalogue also presents a beautiful selection of South east Asian paintings, including a very fine Thangka depicting Buddha Shakyamuni.
