拍賣簡介

It is at the top of a building constructed in 1934 by the architect Léonard Varthaliti that Alain Braunstein, an art dealer from Nice, chooses to keep his precious Art Deco collection. The play of curves and the lines of the apartment, reminiscent of the great transatlantic liners of the 1930s, finds its echo in the splendour of the geometrical works in precious woods by Eugène Printz. Bronzes by Miklos, brassware by Linossier, sculptures by Jan and Joël Martel and Daum glassware bring complementary notes to this sun drenched interior. On the walls, works on paper by Gustave Miklos, Georges Valmier and Albert Gleizes perfect this important ensemble brought together over a period of 30 years.
