Antique coral

Antique coral is valued for its warm colour and natural beauty, having adorned jewellery and decorative objects for centuries. Its rich hues, ranging from pale pink to vibrant scarlet, have long made coral pieces highly sought-after. Among the world’s rarest organic gemstones, coral is also revered as a symbol of protection and good luck. Fashioned into necklaces, bandeaus, earrings and other high-jewellery, antique coral remains celebrated for both its striking appearance and rich cultural significance.

An antique coral cameo bracelet , each of the seven graduated ovals depicting the bust of a classical maiden, the textured surrounds with applied three colour floral decoration, the two colour connecting links modelled as flowerheads, one panel with chip to base.

An antique cameo necklace of twenty-seven various agate, coral, malachite, amethyst and lapis lazuli cameos, depicting various animals and classical figures in cut-down collet mounts, (now separated in small sections); a similar openwork quatrefoil pendant with applied brooch mounts, (one cameo deficient); and five further cameos mounted on a bar brooch.
