The auspicious imagery of the present panel expresses a wish for long life, as suggested by the sea (hai), house (wu) and the tally (chou) grasped in the beak of the crane in flight. These motifs form the rebus Haiwu Tianchou, 'Adding tallies to the immortal's abode above the sea'.
