The tall, rectangular box with fitted silver handle on paulownia-shaped bases decorated in gold low-relief takamaki-e with stylized paulownia on a black ground, the sliding front panel with paulownia on the face and with autumn flowers and grasses on the reverse opening to reveal four drawers with silver pulls and decorated in gold hiramaki-e with various types of autumn flowers, the faces of all the drawers treated as a continuous composition, the interior of the cabinet and base of drawers mura-nashiji
