CIRCA 1745-1749

The present wall-lights or appliques closely relate to the oeuvre of the bronzier Jacques Caffieri (1678-1755) in the mid-18th Century. Related wall-lights were delivered by Caffieri to the Princess Louise Elisabeth de Parme for her estate of Colorno near Parma circa 1752. The C couronné poinçon was a tax mark employed between March 1745 and February 1749 on any alloy containing copper.
