As first noted by Martin Royalton Kisch (email communication), the figures seem to derive from those on a sheet by Rembrandt in the University Library in Warsaw (inv. zb.d.4285; see P. Schatborn, Rembrandt. The Complete Drawings and Etchings, Cologne, 2019, no. D385, ill.).
