Dr Amy Riggs (李家瑜)
Amy C. Riggs is an art historian and specializes in Chinese paintings, calligraphy, and bronzes. She received her Ph.D. in art and archaeology from Princeton University. Her academic background and dedication to her clients consistently help them achieve their goals at Christie’s. Academically, Amy is interested in reconstructing the circumstances surrounding the production of works of art as well as their cultural biographies. She has presented papers, given lectures, and published on various topics including the development and historiography of Chinese literati painting, history of collecting, cultural biographies of objects, twentieth-century Chinese painters, contemporary Chinese art, early Chinese bronzes, Japanese Momoyama art, and early Florentine and Sienese painters.
Amy also received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, San Diego, an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Stanford University, and an M.A. in art history from both Columbia University and Princeton University.
