Hannah Perry
Associate Specialist, Head of Sale
Hannah Perry joined the Indian, Himalayan, and Southeast Asian works of art department at Christie’s in 2020. She is responsible for private sale and auction consignments, appraisals, researching and cataloguing works of art for the department. Since joining Christie’s, she has been a specialist for several important collection sales, including The Ann and Gordon Getty Collection, Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection, and Devotion in Stone: Gandharan Masterpieces from a Private Japanese Collection. Prior to joining the department, she worked at the Art Institute of Chicago as a provenance researcher in Ancient, Byzantine, and Asian art and as a researcher for special exhibitions in Indian, Himalayan, Southeast Asian, and Islamic art. Hannah received her Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Arabic from Emory University and her Master’s degree from University College London. She also studied Islamic art and Arabic at Al-Akhawayn University in Morocco and has lived and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and South Asia. Her passions within the field include Indian court paintings, particularly from the Pahari schools, and provenance research across all categories.
