21st Century Day Sale

21st Century Day Sale

Sale Overview

This March, Christie’s unveils the 21st Century Day Sale—a spirited constellation of contemporary voices, where internationally celebrated masters meet the fresh clarity of rising talent, weaving together a bold and dynamic artistic narrative of our time.

From striking abstractions to intimate figurative works, the sale offers a dynamic cross‑section of global creativity. Christine Ay Tjoe’s …to See the White Land (2012) leads the selection with its emotional vibrancy—a celebrated abstract composition driven by a rich palette and charged, expressive energy. Another major highlight is Nicolas Party’s Still Life (2015), with its seemingly minimal triple‑fruit motif unfolding into layered symbolic and psychological resonance, distilled into pure colour and atmosphere. Yayoi Kusama’s The Southern Country (1978) marks a pivotal moment of emotional recalibration during a transformative chapter in the artist’s life. Günther Förg’s Untitled (2006) further anchors the highlights, joined by works from Hilary Pecis, Yoshitomo Nara, Zhang Enli, Scott Kahn, Annie Morris, Salman Toor, Ding Yi, Natee Utarit, Joseph Yaeger, and others, each contributing a distinct voice.

Together, these works bring the sale to a vibrant close—bridging the lyrical and the electrifying, offering a sharp snapshot of our time and an invitation to engage with today’s global artistic dialogue.
